This Week
The demo reel is your calling card as an editor. It is a 2–3 minute showcase of your best work, designed to demonstrate your range, your technical skill, and your storytelling sensibility. A great demo reel does not simply show your best shots — it tells a story about who you are as an editor and what kind of work you want to do.
Daily Practice
Review all your work from the past year. Select the best moments from each phase and organize them by category: dialogue scenes, action sequences, montages, documentary sequences. (45–60 min)
Weekly Challenge
Select and organize your best work from the entire year for your demo reel. Identify your 10–15 strongest moments.
