Narrative Short — Picture Lock & Audio Mix

Finalize all edits, build the sound design, and mix the audio.
This Week
Picture lock means you are done making editorial changes to the picture. From this point, you will only work on the sound. Build the sound design: add room tone, ambient sound, and specific sound effects. Mix the audio: balance the dialogue levels, add music, and ensure the overall mix is clean and professional.
Daily Practice
Work on the audio mix, focusing on clarity and balance. The dialogue should always be intelligible, and the music and sound effects should support, not overwhelm, the story. (45–60 min)
